Joe the Prolific is vibrating

09.51
Joe the Prolific is vibrating, the sun emerges over a frosty countryside, Toyah arrived yesterday evening & is here for two whole nights. I've been home long enough to be able to move in a little more: a few more boxes unpacked, a few more pictures on walls, a few more photographs on mantelpieces. A place to restore & refresh the spirits.

Curt Golden called yesterday, early Seattle time, to check on progress and developments. As far as I can tell, I'll be able to make a decision on this at the end of next week.

A new Gaucho aphorism has recently e-arrived from Hernan Nunez:

We are Ugly, but out of tune, so let's play louder.

19.05
A most enjoyable day with the Horse. We had lunch with a friend who lives near Salisbury & is a farmer, currently an endangered species in England. Between June 1999 and June 2000 each week 450 farmers left the life. The year before it was 333 per week. At the moment, the suicide rate is one a week. Our pal, a pig farmer, is leaving the industry as well. The UK government is encouraging pig farmers to quit & the proliferation of EU regulations are also an encouragement to leave.
